...lysmesse...

...I'm still opening adventgifts from my sister...no cheating! One each day, and I'm smiling, this is fun! A couple of days ago I got some pearls with a loop, so yesterday, when I needed a pair of earrings, I made some. And now I need the thread for some sewing, so I figured I'd better take a photo;-)
-------------------------------------------
Our DD1 is a confirmee in May-10, and they have several things that they are learning and going through in church prior to the confirmation. Yesterway we went to mass, candlemass or lightmass, I don't know what it's called in English, but all the youth come in dressed in white gowns and with candles. It was beautiful (my camera is lousy in bad lightconditions...so please apologize the crappy photos...)
They came in at the back of the church, and lit their candles in the globe (which is actually made by hubby's father...),and then walked up to the altar.

Enjoy these days...
Ønsker alle noen fine dager...

I love candel-light services... we used to have on on chirstmas eve at my church in scotland, carols by candellight.

I love the idea of the advent gifts, maybe I should do something like that for my wee sister next year, she would love it.

Hei Marit

What a great idea the advent gifts are! The candlelight service must have been beautiful. I've been hearing about the terrible weather conditions in Texas. It's scary because since they're not used to it, they have no road crews to take the snow and ice off the roads! Very strange. I'm sure your husband feels right at home with the cold ;).

I haven't checked in on you for a while. What fun posts you've had. I love the socks/slippers you knit for your vet.

Your earrings are so classic looking, and I love the idea of Advent gift too.

I love the header on your blog...
Mr Black looks stunning.
I too love candle light service. It gives an air of Victorian times gone by...

I like the picture. It think it's beautiful - even with the blurriness.
