...aestlight...

Gudrun asked for testknitters for a new shawl she has designed, and I was one of the lucky ones! A beautiful garterstitch shawl, with a lace border and a knitted-on edging.

Yarn:
Tove from Sandnes Garn, it weighs 172grams, which should equal 550m...or nearly 4 balls of yarn...
Knitted on 4mm circular needles.
Fun, fast and faboulous.
The pattern is really well written, and I didn't have any problems with it. She should have it up for sale shortly.
The yarn I choose, is a bit heavier than the original, so the shawl is quite big- 200cm across, and 85cm at the tip.
Love it! Thank you, Gudrun, for letting me testknit this!
Oh, and Happy Solstice! It doesn't get dark here! But it's so cold a woolshawl might come in handy...some summer we're having!
God midtsommar! Det vert ikkje mørkt her!

Wow, Marit! It's lovely! Just the thing for taking the damp chill out of the air (which would feel nice- it's going to be 90 F today with humidity).

And the bold red is wonderful!

Oh, that's lovely! Given the weather we've been having (damp, chilly, overcast or pouring for days on end) a bright warm shawl probably ought to be in my queue as well!

Oooh, it's lovely! I'd love to knit that as well. The color is great and I think the size is perfect. It's already getting dark there? Wow! We haven't had much of a summer yet either but I know we have months of 100 degree temps ahead. Boo. Thank heaven for swimming pools!

Really lovely Marit,
I like the color and the design, a great match. But you always do beautiful work.

Your cucumbers are doing much better than mine. Mine are so cold and wet they can't grow and the seeds that were planted have drown. Horrible Spring and now a horrible Summer.

Good luck with your tomatoes. I may be asking you to send me a few if things don't improve here. :)

It's just beautiful, Marit. I'm usually not drawn to red, but I am i love with the color you used. I can picture myself walking on the beach with it wrapped around me.

Woot! Beautimous knitting! The shawl turned out great. I need to get back to knitting or crocheting. Been spending all my time on a spinning binge!
