I've got mail!!!

A little while ago I was reading Gina's blog, and as usual she had some great quilts to show. I commented, (I've always liked the looks of patchwork and quilting, but I don't do it myself. Too much fuss!) and shortly after I had an e-mail from her asking me whether I'd be interested in a swap. I'd hardly finished reading before answering YES; please! She would like a pair of socks and gloves, and she would make a tabletopper for me. We both mailed out around Easter- and I've been stalking the postman ever since...LOL! Today when I went to fetch the mail, I decided to email Gina again to say that it had still not arrived- and there it was! A big, fat envelope, with Her Majesty the Queen, and the words Royal mail. ...and this is what was inside!!! A beautiful, bright star!

...and in the middle the cutest button- a sheep!

A great backside too.

...and here it is on my table...

I love it, Gina! Thank you so very much!!!
(and the funny part was that when I turned on the computer to send her a note to say it had arrived, she had already blogged about the parcel from me! )
Blogland is a very nice place:-)

What a beautiful piece of work! I love the sheep in the middle!
Just been catching up on your blog and didn't realise you did weaving too. I took a weaving course many years ago, and there was a lady there who made all the fabric for her daughter's wedding dress...

That's really lovely - and a swap sounds like the ideal 'answer' for you both! x
