Churchbells...

Just trying something...;-)
http://www1.nrk.no/nett-tv/indeks/167933

The son went to Selja yesterday, with the vicar, some classmates, and a filmcrew from NRK. The clip is in Norwegian, but you see the island and the abbey, and the back end of a sheep running down! Also, DS2 calling with the church bell.

He reported back that at least 15 Old Norwegian lambs had been born...

The barn is also filling up with lambs! So far it's been smooth sailing- one of the best years ever. I only have 19 spælewes, but by last night 13 had lambed and delievered 27 lambs...

I'll try to be back with photo's soon....(oh, have you heard that before???;-D)

Have a great day!

ARTIG!!!
Stedet står på ønskelisten over steder jeg gjerne vil besøke i Norge.

My blog has been a bit sad of late so please dont visit for a while...if you do...nice to meet you and to see your beautiful spot in the world .

Hia Marit, huge congratulations on a successful start to lambing. The island is so beautiful. The English tradion was to have your 1st lamb on April Fools Day- 1st April. The higher farms are later, and the modern breeds are sooner of course. Some southern farms are as early as February.

It was good to be able to place you on the map- East of the Shetland Isles. It looked like your younger son had fun in front of the cameras. :-) Was the island being blessed or the sheep season? Sorry I don't know Norwegian.

Glad your computer is better.

OH, BTW I just found out that my black cat is a Norwegian Forrest Cat, or at least a part of him is. I doubt that he is a full blooded one.

Take care and have a good week.

Amazing landscape! Thanks for sharing your most beautiful home. I must also say how lovely Norwegian sounds. It's a very melodious language, very very pretty indeed :)

How wonderful, a successful lambing season, for those at home and those on the island. That is such good news, and what Spring is all about. The renewal of the earth and her inhabitants. Plant and animal alike. :)
