...conversations...?...

Internet chat with the boardingschool son, his first day was today!

Me: so, how are you?
He: okay
Me:did you get a nice room?
He: yes
Me: how big is it?
He: no idea
Me: how are the teachers?
He: okay
Me: have you unpacked yet?
He: yes
Me: is the food okay?
He: yes
Me: are you homesick?
He: no
Me: you can call or send me a mail anytime.
He: yes
Me: okay, I'll leave you, just make sure you call sometimes!
He: okay

hmmm, I need to teach the other 3 how to keep a conversation going...

Okay..that's really great, that he's doing okay! LOL! That is so funny, Marit! He'll probably realize conversation once he's 20 and understands it's necessary for life! ;o) We're off to the US this week...finishing all sorts and packing in full swing. The laptop comes along, so we'll be online and share photos! Happy Days ((HUGS))

Very funny! I get similar responses from my kids when they get home from school in the afternoon. Is it a boy thing? Anyway, best wishes on the adjustment for all of you!

Haha, that would be exactly the responses I'd get from my oldest boy!

How funny! I've just had a phone call home from Dot who has just started her secondary school today and took the chance to ring me at lunchtime - sounds like she is having fun already! Lucy x

I'm cracking up because that sounds like every conversation my mom has with my younger brother (now 25 and married). Apparently he talks to his wife and friends, just not his mom! Sounds like he's doing well (I think).

Lol, Marit, I'm sure that will change later on! Thanks for stopping by the new place. Always good to hear from you.

osv. i all evighet.

LOL, just what every Mom gets from a teenager, especially boys. Just wait a few years, he will talk.
When my daughter was a kid at home Mom was dumb as mud. Once she married and moved out of the house it is amazing how smart I got!!! LOL

(LOL) He's better at conversation than my kids. I'll text them, asking how they are doing when they're away someplace, and all I'll get back is either a :) or a :( At least you get some words:)

Haha, sorry I have to laugh, I can imagine how that conversation has been! But at least he's okay and not homesick, that's great! Take care!

Grattis med trekninga hos Ninne! Congratulations for winning Ninne's contest! I'll come and 'see' you more often, just discovered your blog through Ninne's blog (a VERY good friend). (I'm doing a French/Norwegian/English blog.) ...and my roots are at Sunnmøre, where I spent all my summer holidays when I was young.
The 'conversation' is just like the ones I have with my youngest son (17 yrs). Klem fra Ragnhild

Well that's at least normal. No need to worry. He is at least giving a word not just a grunt.

OMG! My kids are only 9, 8 and 6 and I'm already on their arses about that...especially my oldest boy... TALK TO ME!!!! I'M YOUR MOTHER!!!

Well, it sounds like he is happy and independent, which, really, is what we all hope for in our kids!

No news are good news, er valgspråket her hjemme. Med tiden blir han kanskje mer pratsom? Ser ut som det er en kjent problemstilling, iallefall!

LOL! Well, that sounds like a teenager alright! They go from having a decent vocabulary to just Yes, No and I dunno ;) Hope he has a great time at his new school.
