Hi, I'm back:-)

Happy new year to you all! Sorry I'm a bit late...had everything fixed for Christmas, gifts given and received(even those for my sisters- they came there in time- well done, Postverket!), the cookies were done, the pinnekjøtt (ribs of sheep, salted and dried) was put in water to soak overnight in order to make the traditional Christmasdinner- even the house looked pretty neat! And I came down with the flu...so the rest of the holidays were spent on the couch or in bed, with fever, headache and a cold...NO knitting for a week!!! I must have been sick! Fortunately hubby and the kids didn't get it!
Hubby went back to work on Jan.2nd, the kids went back to school on Jan.3rd, and I fed the sheep in the mornings and went back to bed...after a few days my fingers started to itch, so I dug out the December Sockamania SnowFlake pattern and made a pair with matching fingerless mittens. These will be sent off to a friend of mine in Iceland. The plan was to knit these between Christmas and NewYear, in order to keep the monthly deadline...but once I got around to start them, they just flew off my needles. Then there is January's pattern in the same club... still with the same yarn, Silja sockyarn on needles 2.5mm.
There has been more knitting too, but I'd better save that a few days, hoping that I am finally back on track with the blogging! I will need something to blog about-lol!
We have a thin layer of snow today, and I brought the camera this morning when I fed the sheep. Still 2.5 months to go before lambing season...
DS1 has been doing the farmchores in the evening after school, since I still don't feel very well. I did go see a doctor, eventually, and got some antibiotics. It doesn't seem to help much, I'm still coughing and feeling rather dizzy. "Serves you well", my sister the nurse said," for not seiing the doc any sooner!" (It only took me three weeks...)

DS1 and I took a short walk along the road yesterday- or was it the day before?- to check on some sheep, and on our way back, the man in the moon peeked out...this is just behind our barn a little before 5pm.
Anyway, I obviously have a lot to catch up on- (like an award-thank you-I'll get back to it:-))and reading blogs. Hope this finds you all in good shape.

Have a great day!

Oh, I am so glad to hear from you. I was getting worried. I had a similar experience earlier this fall (waited 3 weeks to go to the doctor and then got yelled at once I did go). Glad to hear that you are on the mend!

Hooray! You're back and hopefully feeling better.

Lovely knits! I cannot believe how fast you are. Those red snowflakes socks are really cool!

And already done with Janaury. SHeesh woman!

Tonight, we'll be taking a moonlit walk through the woods with the boyscout troop. There are not many things more beautiful and magical than a snowy moonlit evening.

Take care, Marit!

Sorry to hear you've been sick. I was sick most of last Christmas season. That was no fun...except for the sleeping on the couch and letting everyone else take care of stuff part of it.

I absolutely love your socks and fingerless gloves.

Hooray!! You are back and are semi-ok.
Sorry you have been sick and hope that you mend really soon. When you did not post for such a long time I figured that something was wrong.
Love your snowflake socks. I got so far behind that I haven't started them yet but am almost done with January socks.

Your snowflace socks and mitts are gorgeous! Your friend will love them!

You will have to tell me, what kind of sheep you have. I once raised Tunis sheep. Yours appear to have longer, finer wool than our Tunis had.

Hope you are feeling much better now. Have a great day, and take care. :)
