Hi there! Sorry for the absence...life got in the way...

Just wanted to share a few pictures of our winter- after reading about YarnHarlot's adventures today...

We've been shearing the sheep again, it's done twice a year on spælsauen. I don't have to do it myself, we hire a professional. That saves us a lot of work, and my back-LOL!

There has been knitting too! March Sockamania socks- a new challenge, knitting both at the same time on a circular needle(magic loop) I thought it would be disaster, but it might well be my favourite way of knitting socks! It takes longer to finish them, but they will be done! No second sock syndrom! For some reason I followed the pattern to the letter on the cuffs...they are now very long... pictures will come later...

I'm also knitting this little fellow (scroll down...), thank you, moogsmum! He gets tiny...the pattern says needles 2.75mm....I'm using babywool and 2mm....he's cute though!

Easter holidays are coming- the kids will be off school for ten days...maybe we'll have proper spring by the time they return:-)
Have a great weekend:-)

Beautiful photos Marit but it looks sooooo cold! How do the sheep cope without their fleeces?

I haven't even started my teddy yet. The wool is all ready and all I need now is to actually do it!

It looks so beautiful there!

We just started "Daylight Savings Time", so it gets dark an hour later in the evenings, and that has made such a difference with my spirits.

That little teddy bear is just adorable!

Just love your pictures. I'm definitely in love with your sheep. We shear our own animals beginning in mid-April and continuing through mid-May.

I purchased a book on how to knit two socks at the same time but haven't gotten a pair started yet. I'm glad for the encouragement you've given.

By the way, your blue sweater that you're ripping is beautiful. I hope your next project with the yarn is just as lovely.

Cute teddy! Just the right kind of cheering little knit for a chilly day. Me? I knit a slug. Yes, a slug. Youngest Daughter loves bugs, and it was a perfect little Happy Friday gift for her.

Congratulations on the magic loop! I keep thinking about trying M.L. and 2 at once but have not done it yet.

I am glad that you tried ML. It is the greatest. I now do socks toe up with ML and both at once. It is so nice that when you are done you are done, not have a second sock to do. I also tried doing them on 2 circ and like ML beter.

Love the sheep and you can keep the snow. We SHOULD be done with snow here for the winter. At least I hope so.

What a cute teddy bear. I might need to try that pattern. Your pictures are beautiful, as usual even though they do look pretty chilly. I was complaining yesterday because I was cold with only a sweatshirt on. I think it was maybe 50 F.
